Over the last year, Membury Village has seen three HGVs get stuck either in the village or in the lanes into the village. These have caused in some cases significant damage to private property and in all cases, significant inconvenience as access to/from the village has been disrupted for a number of days.
We have been discussing at our Parish Council and with DCC possible solutions as in our case, this seems to be a growing trend. We are keen to hear from any other villages who are suffering from similar disruption and especially from any villages who have come up with a workable solution.
