St Nicholas Church
Our lovely village church is at the heart of our village. It has recently gained a new set of bells and serves a population of a little under two hundred in a parish that covers about 1750 acres lying north of Honiton on the other side of the River Otter.
St Nicholas’ Church is open each day from 10.00am – 4.00pm for private prayer and reflection.
Approached via a 1909 lych gate the church is built from a mixture of local materials and comprises a C14th bell tower, C15th chancel, nave and wide north aisle. In common with many neighbouring churches the nave and aisle have typical Devon wagon roofs.
Its beautiful setting makes a super choice for Weddings or Christenings.
The Village Hall is also available to book for receptions and parties.
Safeguarding
The parish of Combe Raleigh is committed to the safeguarding of all, especially children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
As a church we have adopted the House of Bishops’ National Safeguarding Policies and Practice, details of which are available on the Church of England website.
